Gloria M. Shaw, 77, Graystone Court Villas, Bell­meade, passed away Friday.

She was born in Marion, Ohio, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Parson) Jackson. She married Marion Shaw on Sept. 24, 1960. He passed away July 31, 2005.

Surviving are three daughters: Monica (Robert) Wolfe of Tyrone, Tina (Steve) Helsel of Altoona and Colleen (Jesse) Dill of Liberty Township, Ohio; two sons: Andrew (Lisa) Shaw of Altoona and Scott Shaw of Bellwood; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four sisters: Frances Kelly, Kathrine Micheli, Mary Fulton and Juanita Scott; and two brothers: Harold and Richard Jackson.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Theresa Goddee; and two brothers: Jerome and David Jackson.

Gloria was a graduate of Marion Catholic High School and the IBM keypunch school. She worked as an IBM keypunch operator for Todco Overhead Door Co. and for Marion Power Shovel. She was also a baby sitter for many years.

Gloria was a member of St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, Altoona. She and her husband were affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America for many years.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, at Leslie E. Axe Funeral Home, 1520 Fourth St., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017, at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, Altoona, by the Rev. D. Timothy Grimme. Com­mittal will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
