June E. Priddy, 92, Altoona, passed away Thursday at the Lutheran Home in Hollidaysburg. She was born in Johnstown, daughter of the late Joseph and Della (Miller) Shoenfelt. On Sept. 12, 1945 she married Eugene F. “Gene” Priddy and he preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 2011.
She is survived by two daughters: Fayetta (Louis) Rush of Fishers, Indiana and Mary Catherine Priddy of Altoona; a son, William (Tracey) Priddy of Sinking Valley; three grandchildren: Matthew (Tracy) Rush, Chad Rush, and Shanna Harms; three great-grandchildren: Raina and Gabriel Harms and Sophia Rush; two sisters: Mary Litzinger and Ruth Patterson, both of Altoona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
June took pride in being a homemaker for her family and enjoyed cooking and baking. She also loved to read and spend time with her family, especially her grandbabies and great-grandbabies. June was well-known at church for her famous raisin-filled cookies.
June was a previous member of Faith United Methodist and a current member of Wehnwood United Methodist Church.
