Obituary

Allan B. “Skip” Calhoun, 69, of Altoona, unexpectedly passed away Sunday at his home. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Albert and Vivian (McGeary) Calhoun.

He is survived by his loving fiance, Lisa Pellegrino; one grandson, Gabriel; two sisters: Deborah Muriel and Lorrain Calhoun; and a brother, John Calhoun.

He was preceded in death by a son, Joshua.

Skip served in the United States Marine Corps.

Skip enjoyed long walks, music, art, The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

Friends will be received from 4-7 pm Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021 in the Axe and Santella Family Chapel, 1534-4th St. Altoona, where a funeral service will be celebrated at 10:30 am Friday, Dec. 17, 2021. Committal will be at Logan Valley Cemetery with military honors.
