Barbara A. (Dunn) Nale

Barbara A. Nale, 79, Altoona, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Joseph and Wildamae (Simon) Dunn. She later married George Nale and he preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 1995.

She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Nale of Altoona; a son, Paul Nale of Enola; 2 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; friends Janet Hommer, and Scharlotte and Richard Howard.

She was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Ruth H., Shirley S., Gloria S.; and one brother, Joseph.

Barbara was an Altoona High School graduate. She worked for Butterick, One Hour Martinizing, and retired from Boyer Candy Company.

She enjoyed her cats, cat collections, and loved her California raisins.

Barbara was a member of Wehnwood United Methodist Church.

Barbara was the last of her family. She will be remembered by all those who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service, Friday Oct. 9, 2020, in the Leslie E. Axe Funeral Home, 1520 4th Street, Altoona. Please wear your mask for the safety of others. Committal will be at Carson Valley Cemetery.
