Connie L. Shultz, 93, a resident of Homewood in Martinsburg, previously of Altoona, Pennsylvania went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 21, 2025.
Connie was born in Altoona, PA., on June 4, 1932 the daughter of the late Adam and Ima (Earnest) Gonter. She was first married to the late Lyle Nabors. On September 21, 1997 she married the late Daniel G. Shultz, who preceded her in death on July 31, 2020.
She is survived by her daughters: Pauline (Lawrence) Bowers, and Nanette (Charles) Nabors-Hidalgo, of Fort Myers, FL., two step-daughters Deborah Santella and Diane Shultz, both of Altoona, and 2 grandsons.
Connie was preceded in death by two brothers: Ernest and Robert Gonter; and two sisters: Bettie Smith and Florence Confer.
Connie was a 1950 graduate of Altoona High School and retired after working in the sales department for Altoona Pipe and Steel. Connie enjoyed reading, attending Altoona Curve baseball games and attending gospel music concerts.
For many years she volunteered for meals on Wheels.
Friends will be received at the Leslie P. Axe Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 10 -11 am where a funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation. Interment will take place at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Connie’s memory to the Altoona Public Library.
