David N "Nick" Bell

David Nicholis “Nick” Bell, 78, Altoona, passed away Friday at Hilltop Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late David and Marjorie (McKee) Bell. On Feb. 26, 1988, he married Carol Miller.

Surviving are his loving wife; two daughters, Jodi (Regis) Watt and Nikki Ernest; four stepchildren: Terry (Brenda) Figart of Altoona, Tina (Bill) Stayrook of Hollsopple, Tammy (David) Nichols of Las Vegas, Nev. and Bobby (April) Savino of Williamsburg; six grandchildren: Greg, Tyler and Nick Martin, Brandon, Josh and Travis Potts; step-grandchildren: A.J. Figart of Altoona, Maura Risbon, Chelsea Meyers of Hollsopple, Kirstie (Andrew) Marcinko in Missouri, Kyler Figart of Osceola Mills and Elijah Figart of Altoona; a brother, Steve (Connie) Bell; a niece, Jennifer Bell; and a nephew, Michael Bell.

Nick was a 1966 graduate of Altoona Area High School and served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He later worked and retired as a salesman for East Coast Beauty Supply.

He enjoyed being outdoors and mowing the lawn. He was an avid reader, spending a lot of time in the Pennsylvania room at the library.

At the request of the deceased, no services will be held at this time. Arrangements are by Leslie E. Axe Funeral Home, 1520 Fourth St., Altoona.
