Deborah Clegg Obituary

     Deborah (Debbie) “Nana” Clegg, 65 passed away following a brief illness on, Thursday, October 29, 2020. Nana was a resident of the State College area for many years, but home was always the Shreveport/Bossier City, Louisiana areas.

     Debbie was born February 6, 1955 in Shreveport, Louisiana, the daughter of the late William Faircloth & Gracie Faircloth.
     She married the love of her life Edwin “Eddie” Lee Clegg on March 21, 1978 and they had 24 years of love on earth, Eddie preceded her in death on April 16, 2002.

     Debbie “Nana” is survived by her son Steve (Vickie) Clegg, 3 grandchildren; Alissa, Austin and Hayden, 2 fur babies; Diesel and Luke, 3 brothers; Glenn, Larry and Billy, her sister -in- law Carolyn Dowden Mathews that she was especially fond of. A brother Clyde preceded her in death.

     Debbie graduated from Fair Park High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. In January, 1977, Debbie attended Bossier Parish Community College Northwest Basic Police
Academy, becoming the first female police officer in the City of Bossier City, Louisiana. After Debbie married Eddie, a Bossier City police officer as well at the time and they had their son Steve, Debbie became a stay-at-home mom raising her family, she returned to working years later and retired as a District Manager at Walmart.

     Debbie “Nana” had a love for music and dogs, especially her rottweilers. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys and LSU fan, she loved watching NCIS, Chicago PD, and The Walking Dead.

     At the request of Debbie, there will be no services in the PA area. Debbie and Eddie will be taken home to Shreveport, Louisiana where they will be laid to rest together again forever and always at Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport.
