Eugene K. Otto, 80, Duncansville, passed away peacefully Wednesday at his home.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Eugene C. and Dorothea M. (Dodson) Otto. He married Joyce Stenger on Nov. 23, 1957.
Surviving are his loving wife; a son, James (Becky) Otto of Virginia Beach, Va.; four daughters: Susan (Ron) Yartin of St. Johns, Fla., Brenda Black of Harrisburg, Pa., Jean McElwain of Jacksonville, Fla., and Annette (Steve) Soward of Lebanon, Tenn.; a son-in-law, Michael Mihock; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karla; four grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Jack Black.
Eugene was a 1957 graduate of Altoona High and retired as a welder from Conrail. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He enjoyed painting, woodworking, trains and reading.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2019, at Leslie E. Axe Funeral Home, 1520 Fourth St., Altoona. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2019, at the Axe and Santella Family Chapel, 1534 Fourth St., Altoona, Pastor Eli Hess officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
