Kay F. Daugherty, 87, Altoona, passed away Sunday at Midtown Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Roy and Bernadine (Stevens) Aurandt. She later married Richard Daugherty, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Kay Daugherty and Helen (Robert) Cole; 4 grandchildren: David Daugherty, Timothy and Richard Farber and Montana Cole; a great-grandson, Grayson and another on the way; a sister, Ethel Aurandt; and a brother, Eugene Aurandt.
Kay was preceded in death by a son, Roy Daugherty; 3 brothers, Roy, Paul and James Aurandt; and a sister, Helen Aurandt.
Kay loved her family and worked as a housekeeper and homemaker. She always enjoyed spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 9am until the 11am memorial service on Monday, October 6, 2025 at the Axe and Santella Family Chapel, 1534 – Fourth St. Altoona PA 16601. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
