Robert J. Klein Sr.

Robert J. Klein Sr., 67, Altoona, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona. 

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Paul and Mae (Dunn) Klein. He later married Judith Shevenock.

Surviving are his loving wife; two sons: Robert (Meghan) Klein Jr. and Christopher Klein; seven grandchildren; Emma, Annamae, Zach, Nate, Tori, Haley, and Payton; and seven siblings: Genny, Sandy, Paul, Sue, Terri, John and Steve.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Heather Van Klaveren.

Robert was an Altoona Area High School graduate and worked as a dairy clerk for Wissinger’s, Jubilee and what is now, Martin’s Grocery Store. 

He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He was a member of St. Therese of the Child Jesus.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7:30 p.m. today, Thursday, June 11, 2020, in the Axe and Santella Family Chapel, 1534 Fourth St., Altoona. A funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today, following the visitation, the Rev. D. Timothy Grimme officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
