Robert S. Shaw, 70, Altoona, passed away Saturday at home.

He was born in Altoona, son of Richard R. and Rita L. (Heiss) Shaw. He married Avis L. Helsel.

Surviving are his loving wife; a daughter, Tammy Lattieri (David); a son, Anthony Shaw; a granddaughter, Giada; two sisters: Anne O’Leary and Jacqueline Shaw; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Shaw.

Robert was a 1964 Bishop Guilfoyle graduate and retired from Conrail as a machinist. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists.

He enjoyed camping and fishing.

Friends will be received from 4 until the 6 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, at Axe & Santella Family Chapel, 1534 4th St., Altoona, the Rev. Kathy Colebank officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
