Virgil E. "Buddy" Horsley Jr.

Virgil E. “Buddy” Horsley Jr., 66, Altoona, passed away unexpectedly June 25, 2019 at his home. He was the son of the late Virgil Horsley Sr. and Gladys (Bryant) Horsley.

He is survived by a daughter, Angela Horsley; 3 sisters: Sharon Horsley, Eva (Ronald) Adams, and Nancy Honecker; 4 grandchildren: Timothy, Shawn, Devin, and Zoey; and many nieces and nephews.

Virgil served in the Navy during Vietnam.

He enjoyed antiquing, the beach, and was an avid reader. Buddy had a major sweet tooth and enjoyed candy and ice cream.

Friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at the Axe and Santella Family Chapel, 1534 Fourth St. Altoona. Arrangements by the Leslie E. Axe Funeral Home.
