Wayne E. “Jingles” Ingold, 82, Altoona, passed away Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024 at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona on July 4, 1941, son of the late Elmer and Ruth Ingold. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Starlith Elaine (Patterson) Ingold, whom he married on March 30, 1968.
Wayne is survived by his daughter, Michelle (Bob) LaMark; a son, Shawn (Ami) Ingold; 5 grandchildren: Tristan, Nathan, Tanner, Cooper and Berkley; and a brother, William Ingold.
Wayne was a graduate of Altoona Area High School and a veteran of the United States Navy. Wayne was an active Mason and Shriner in the Altoona area and retired from SKF in 2004. Those that knew Wayne could always enjoy his stories, humor and his love of online shopping. He lived to socialize and attend breakfast with this buddy, Tom, plus spend time with his neighbors, Lucy and Deb.
Wayne was very proud of his family and will be sadly missed.
Friends will be received from 10am until the 12pm funeral home service Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024 in the Leslie E. Axe Funeral Home, 1520-4th St., Pastor Tyler Pepper officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
