William H. Crownover, 87, Hollidaysburg Veteran’s Home, passed away Monday at the home. He was born in Huntingdon, son of the late Hayes and Helen (Shaffer) Crownover. He later married Delores J. “Dee” Honstine and she preceded him in death on June 24, 2015.
Surviving is a son, Scott A. Crownover and wife Jessica. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Crownover.
William was an Altoona High School graduate and worked as a Sales Representative in the Food Industry. William also served in the Army during the Korean War.
He enjoyed hunting, playing tennis and raquetball and was a member of the Heidelburg Country Club and of the National Rifle Association.
Friends will be received from 2pm until the 4pm memorial service, Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019 at the Leslie E. Axe Funeral Home, 1520-4th St. Altoona, with military honors.
