William C. Hauser

July 25, 1950 - May 26, 2023

William C. Hauser, 72, Altoona, passed away Friday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late John and Lillian (Allen) Hauser. On Sept. 24, 2005 he married Elaine Fochler and she preceded him in death on July 27, 2015. 

He is survived by his 3 loving daughters: Melissa (TJ) Keith, Jessica (Michael) Coon, and Jamie (Paul Mattern) Hauser; 6 grandchildren: Lydia and Marlee Baum, Max, Wyatt, and Abram Coon, and Kruz Keith; 3 siblings: John Hauser, Janet Hauser, and Margo (Charlie) Osterhout; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Harty. 

William was a 1968 Altoona High School graduate and later retired from the maintenance department at Healthsouth. 

He enjoyed fishing, trips to Rocky Gap, car auctions, and spending time with his friends at Family Pizza. 

Friends will be received from 2-6pm on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at the Axe and Santella Family Chapel, 1534-4th Street Altoona PA 16601. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 6pm.
