William D. Stehley, 48, Altoona, passed away on July 8, 2017, at his home.

He was born in Altoona, son of Joyce Stehley-Norris and the late Judd Stehley Jr.

Surviving are his mother; his stepfather, Edgar Norris, both of Williamsburg; two daughters: Keera Stehley-Gray and Cintel Stehley, both of Altoona; four grandchildren: Conner, Christian, Steven and Alexa; four sisters: Deborah Snyder, Patricia Dodson, Sharon Vaughn and Karen Williams; three brothers: Judd Stehley III, Daniel Stehley and Mark Stehley; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Judd; and a sister, Betsy.

William was a graduate of Altoona Area High School and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and had previously worked at Owens Corning, State College.

William was an avid artist.

Family and friends will be received from noon to the 1 p.m. memorial service on Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Axe and Santella Family Chapel, 1534 Fourth St., Altoona, Pastor John Collins officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Leslie E. Axe Funeral Home, 1520 Fourth St., Altoona.
